These terms govern the supply of roofing services by Rossi Roofing Limited (Company No. SC832569), registered at Unit 3, Grange Enterprise Park, Errol, Perth PH2 7TB, United Kingdom ("we", "us", "our"). By accepting a written quote from us you ("the Customer") agree to these terms.
1. Quotations
Every quote is provided in writing and valid for 30 days from the issue date. Quotes are fixed for the scope described unless additional concealed defects are discovered (for example rotten sarking timbers or perished lead flashings hidden under existing covering), in which case any additional works will be quoted and approved in writing before they proceed.
2. Booking & payment
No deposit is required to book any work. We accept payment by bank transfer and card (debit or credit). Final invoices are due within 7 days of completion unless otherwise agreed in writing. We do not charge for unsuccessful site surveys.
3. Workmanship guarantee
Full re-roofs and new flat roof installations carry a written 25-year guarantee. Other works (repairs, gutter, fascia, drainage and insulation jobs) are carried out to a professional standard but are not covered by a separate written workmanship guarantee from Rossi Roofing. Manufacturer warranties on materials (slate, EPDM membrane, uPVC, etc.) are supplied separately and run for the period stated by the manufacturer.
The 25-year re-roof guarantee does not cover damage caused by storms in excess of the design specification, third-party works carried out on the roof after our completion, lack of routine maintenance (e.g. blocked gutters causing water ingress), or settlement and structural movement outside our control.
4. Access & site conditions
The Customer is responsible for ensuring safe and reasonable access to the property on agreed working days, including moving vehicles from driveways when scaffolding is to be erected. We will reinstate any garden areas affected by access as far as is reasonably practical and will leave the site swept and clear of materials at completion.
5. Insurance
We carry £5 million Public Liability insurance and £10 million Employers' Liability cover. A certificate is available on request. Scaffolding is hired from a Scaffolding Association member and is also fully insured during the period of works.
6. Payment
Final invoices are due within 7 days of completion unless otherwise agreed in writing. Late payment may attract statutory interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 where the customer is a business.
7. Cancellation
Consumer customers have a 14-day cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 from the date of accepting a quote, except where you ask us in writing to begin works inside that period (in which case you may be charged for work already carried out).
8. Complaints
If you are unhappy with any aspect of our work, contact us directly on 01738 260550 or info@rossiroofing.co.uk. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 2 working days and to put right anything that falls short of the standards in this document at no further cost to you.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Scotland. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
